Frank Somerville is a news anchor for KTVU news in San Bernadino, CA. Recently, a young woman named Tawny reached out to him with a story so incredible that Somerville shared it on his ownFacebook page.
Tawny is a single mother of four beautiful little girls 9, 5, 2, and 6 weeks old. Things have been particularly rough for her since her ex left.
One day, Tawny desperately needed groceries, so she loaded her girls up in her rundown truck and headed off to the store. By the time they left the store, it was dark outside and pouring rain. Tawny tried turning the engine on, but much to her frustration, the battery was dead. “I have no family to speak of and was on my own,” she wrote.
Over the course of the next couple of hours, Tawny desperately asked at least 20 people for a jump. But they all ignored her. Tawny felt like like she and her girls didn’t even exist.
As her tired and hungry daughters began to melt down, Tawny herself broke down in tears, feeling hopeless and helpless. All she wanted was to get her kids home.
That’s when Tawny heard a knock on the passenger window.
“I swear I got chills when I read what happened next,” Somerville wrote…
“I am the single mother of four absolutely beautiful little girls. They are 9, 5, 2, and 6 weeks. And things have been particularly rough since my ex left.
“My truck had a flat I constantly had to air up. The driver side window motor died. And I needed a new alternator belt. The truck was a mess. And we didn’t drive anywhere unless we had to.”
“When we got out of the store it was far after dark. And POURING rain. I loaded my kids and groceries into the truck. Tried to crank it…… Nothing. No click. Nothing.
“One of my girls had accidentally left a light on. My battery was dead. My phone was also disconnected. I have no family to speak of and was on my own.
“I got out and opened my hood to be sure my battery hadn’t come loose. Nope. I must have asked more than twenty people in the course of two hours for a jump. They all ignored me. Not even a no. Just acted like I didn’t exist.”
“An older gentleman (he was 74) with a cane and a bad limp was on the other side of that knock.
“I opened the door. He handed me a plate of chicken strips and biscuits from the deli and bottles of water.‘Feed those babies and yourself, young lady. I have a tow truck on the way and my wife will be here shortly to take y’all home.’
“Sure enough she arrived followed by the tow truck. Us and our truck were taken home.”
“The next morning the gentleman returned to my house with a mechanic who replaced my battery and alternator and fixed my window.
“The elderly gentleman then left and did not return. When I asked what I owed the mechanic and if I could make payments he smiled telling me the older man had paid for all of it.
“He said that the only payment the older man wanted was for me to never give up and keep being an amazing mom.
“I’ve never cried so hard in my life. Things had been absolutely awful. More so than I care to explain. And without knowing us or our situation this kind man helped us in ways he will never know. What he did revived my faith when I was falling apart. But he wouldn’t even take a hug.
“I’ll never be able to thank him. But I certainly hope one day I can do what he did for me for someone else.”

For most mothers, giving birth is a process thats terrifying, exhilarating, and ultimately joyous.
But births, as most moms will tell you, are rarely quick and easy. Most often, theyre messy and complicated, with fear high on the list of emotions.
Thats certainly the experience of moms who have complications with labor, dont respond to treatment, or who realize at some point in the pregnancy that something isnt quite right, as we saw with this mom who realized her baby boy was coming three months early.
For one mom in Australia, the birth process was especially nerve-racking when, just 24 weeks along, Lilly Munro started to feel that something wasnt quite right.
Already the mom to three kids, she obeyed her motherly instinctandheaded straight to the doctors office. There, she was told that she wouldnt be heading back home again anytime soon, due to a surprising complication with her little one.
Read on below to learn more about Munros story, and the incredible aftermath of her babys birth.
For Lilly Munro, a mom of three in Melbourne, Australia, her fourth pregnancy was 24 weeks along when her motherly instincts kicked in.
She noticed something feeling “off” and the doctorconfirmed her fears immediately Her cervix was dilating three months early, and her baby boy was on his way.
Munro went on bedrest instantly, and they were able to temporarily postpone labor, but the baby was already on the move and, just a week later, little Lennox came into the world.

Munro and her fiancBrodie Moles fell in love with their little bundle of joy instantly, but that love was tempered with fear.
Born at just 25 weeks, little Lennox was so minuscule that doctors had to pack him into a plastic bag, essentially a run-of-the-mill oven bag, in order to regulate his body temperature.
His skin was still so thin and fragile that he appeared nearly bright red, and he weighed just 1.7lbs.
Baby boy Lennox had just a 50 percent chance of survival at such a young age,but he proved himself to be a fighter from the very beginning.
According to the GoFundMe page set up by his mother, Lennox, or “Lenni” for short, started breathing on his own right away.
While the hospital put him on machinery as well, to make the process easier on his tiny lungs, Lenni had clearly decided which side of the 50 percent he wanted to be on.
Over the course of 111 long days, baby Lenni fought the odds.
He grew and thrived, despite the terrifying circumstances of his birth and his early challenges.
Though Mom and Dad couldn’t stay with him in the hospital long after the birth, they were there as often as possible, breathing life into their youngest.
The two parents have had beautiful cherished moments in the hospital with their little one.
Munro has had the opportunity to feed her youngest son, and has enjoyed the bliss and bonding of skin-to-skin contact, even though she couldn’t have him at home with her.
Still, for the parents, the relief of seeing their baby boy thrive is tempered by the dire financial straits they have found themselves in.
Little Lenni is finally home from the hospital with Mom, Dad, and his two older brothers and one older sister.
Now, the young family is doing what they can to pay off the expenses accrued while working on getting Lenni well again. If you’d like to contribute, you can find their GoFundMe here.
In the meantime, the most important thing is that Lenni is a happy and healthy baby despite his scary start, and he’s safe at home with his loving family.

Lolita Wsterlund is one of the first women in the world to have a uterine transplant. Now this pioneering surgery is coming to Britain. By Tim Lewis
Moments after giving birth, her son not yet in her arms, Lolita Wsterlund had an urgent fear. Does he have a really big nose? she near screamed. Her partner Patrik, and the doctors and nurses who had performed the caesarean, looked bemused. Almost a year on, Lolita or Lollo to her friends shakes her head at the memory. Its a funny question, but in one picture during the ultrasound it looked like he had a really, really big nose. But they said: No, his nose is just perfect. What a question!
Few pregnancies are entirely straightforward, but Lollos was an especially discombobulating one. It was not the birth so much, though she did experience the dreaded pre-eclampsia and her son arrived hurriedly a few weeks premature. Much more significant was that Lollo herself was born with Mayer-Rokitansky-Kster-Hauser syndrome, a condition that affects around one in 5,000 girls. MRKH sufferers have ovaries, but no uterus. Lollo also had a shortened vagina and only one kidney. She found out when she was 14, in the early 1990s, when she went to the doctors with a pain in her ovaries. After exploratory surgery, she was told she would never be able to get pregnant or carry a baby of her own.
Recalling the birth of her son, Cash-Douglas, Lollo says: Just the whole experience was too big. I guess its big for everyone, but it was too big to go from, Im never going to be able to have a kid To actually having a kid inside me. My own baby.
Lollo, 36, is the beneficiary of the pioneering technique of uterus transplant surgery. Developed in her homeland Sweden, a trial was started with 10 women. The first gave birth in September 2014 and there have since been another four healthy babies born. One of those women is now pregnant for a second time. The uteruses come from live donors in Lollos case, both her sister and her mother offered theirs and the doctors from the University of Gothenburg selected her sisters as she was younger. She is four years older than Lollo and already has four children.
